Oh man, I love this character! The form is just so bizarre (to me, anyway), and yet strangely endearing. Is it the cheerful smile on such a strange face? Excuse my cluelessness, but I've never seen such a dinosaur before! Are Dimetrodons actually a thing?

What's the character's backstory, actually? Do they live in some sort of prehistoric Earth, or are we talking more modern-day, or...? Or are they just a 'face' you use for the internet?

Thanks! Dimetrodons aren't actually dinosaurs, they're... erm... things. Yep. XD Actually they're synapsids, a kind of "mammal-like reptile" or proto-mammal. Synapsids are specifically identified by teeth that are different sizes (a huge evolutionary jump for animals of the period) and a hole in the skull behind each eye that allowed for better attachment of jaw muscles and therefore a much stronger bite.
I haven't given him much thought yet aside from an internet persona, but I figured that he probably lives in an anthro version of Permian Earth, like the anthro version of modern Earth for modern animal anthros. I'm still trying to work out a backstory, though. ;) Or even a description of what an anthro version of Permian Earth would be like.
