Thank you =D. What I did differently in this one, was that I didn't ink at all - I colored directly over the pencil. Usually I ink these smaller pieces, but I thought I'd give this a try - because even though the pens are small, the lines feel thick to me, and black lines feel too overpowering. I was using brown pens for a while, which I like more than the black, but I'm trying out the pencil and seeing how it goes.
Nine times out of Ten, art just tends to look better when you colour it directly and don't use inked lines. It looks much more natural. As you said, the lines can look "thick", and in many cases, despite being subtle, it can detract from the overall quality of art. Keep up the great work, this one turned out great :3
One thing I find funny quite ironic about these sort of portraits...
If this was a chubby/fat female (no matter the species) this submission would get snarky comments about "look how she feeds her fat" and "I can't fap to this, too much fat" and such.
But since this is a thin/slim character it apparently gives away a sense of sexiness and cuteness because the message of this image seem to be "she is as cute as candy/desserts".
I just find it weird and.. quite unfair. Yes everyone has preferences about what they are attracted to, but why should thin females give away a feel of sexiness when they consume something, when chubby females get a negative reaction if they were to do the same.
Happens in real life too when you see these slim and thin so called "sexy" type of girls eat hamburgers at Mac Donalds seem to give away a sense of cuteness.
But if you see a chubby/fat woman eat at Mac Donalds the first thought is mostly "She probably eat here every day, freaking fatass"
I am chubby IRL, and I am scared to eat at Mc Donalds (and I don't want to because of ew) but if I do, people will look at me and think "what a fat pig" but if I was thin they'd think "Look how cute she eat that hamburger with her slim delicate arms"

oh a yummy traditional piece. i love it, ive said it before, your backgrounds impart such a story to your pieces. and you spare no expense in their detail and execution. if this cute cat is the main dish of your piece, this background is a marvelous cherry on top. i was trying to be clever just now X3.
Now this is what sexy is all about!! She's absolutely adorable!! The best kind of sweets are the kind that visually make you sick to your stomach thinking how rich they are but when you bite into them you could literally eat a cookie sheet or two full of whatever it is. Not too rich ftw! Such a lovely piece!
