You gave his skull a lot of depth. That tongue looks extra sloppy. And omg those scales must have taken forever! I'm surprised to see you do another collab with this guy honestly. >.>

Seriously though I'm not making any negative statement on his character. Just pointing out you put about a bajillion times more effort into your painting than he does dressing and snapping a picture. What do you "owe" him for?

Well, if I say I'm going to do something, I'd better do it. Otherwise I feel all guilty. And I DID for a long-ass time. O.o I let all kinds of things fall through, and I really hate it when it directly affects another person.

Also I had a personal vendetta against this project, since it hated my soul, and I needed to CONQUER IT. RARRR

It's pretty amazing what a person can do when they ACTUALLY USE REFERENCE FOR ONCE! What a concept! This project was actually depressing at times, because it made me realize how very little I know at all about Toothless and drawing in general. XD

Oh yeah, "USING REFERENCE". That's actually one way I caught that guy at it: I'd used the TOOTHLESS STARE as reference for the eye in this one, and I noticed he'd copied everything down to the reflection of the pine trees in the eye-- and if I recall correctly, THERE WEREN'T EVEN PINES AROUND THE NIGHT FURY HE DREW IT ON. So he blatantly didn't know what he was doing, and was blindly copying.

See, that pissed me off. I spend hours doing this from scratch, and he gets a huge clan of ass-kissers by tracing stuff. Oy-vey.

It was depressing at the time. I've found that artistic growth is usually incredibly painful, because it often involves blocks. Improvement for me usually comes from working through blocks, and that's TOUGH.

At least he doesn't get awesome followers like Malus and I :P

I don't have a pure artistic bone in my body unfortunately, so I tend to have no idea on the subject.

He gets mindless lackeys that are extremely rude in a competitive situation. XD

Yeah, Hiccup's pants change color a billion times throughout the movie. This pair of jeans looked similar, and was sorta greenish colored, but upping the saturation on the photo came out blue. In MY edit of this composition, I'm gonna fix the color of the pants.
