I had a science teacher in high school who loves butterflies and photography,, 35mm back then. We were out behind the school in a field when I froze in place to yell to him to come over with the camera. He asked me what was it I saw I said not saw but see.. I pointed to the two butterflies that were on a wheat straw. He zoomed in only to discover that they were actually mating.! He clicked the shutter twice and they broke free to fly away..
We both hoped that we got the pic.. Well When the film was developed, not only did we get the pic, but ti came out so clear, you can see the eyes, feelers, feet, the texture of the wheat straw. He commented to me at our fifteen year reunion that he shows the pic as part of his slides collection and its his prize photo and comments who helped get that "lifetime" shot.
I smiled because I remembered it like yesterday.
You have a good camera to catch that detail so well. Keep up the work and Ill watch.
