*skchrrt* Yeah Jim, looks like an eight pooch pile-up on the interstate, and traffic has slowed to a crawl. Motorists might consider taking a detour until this mess is cleaned up. And now, back to Al in the studio, with your sports update! *skchrrt*

Hmm, well, according to a website, common spiders found in Alaska homes are crab spiders (philodromus and xysticus), wolf spiders (lycosidae), and cob web spiders (steatoda). Those crab spiders are the ones I've seen by the raspberries. They always gave me a startle! :3 And yes, they survive up there! They can always flee into houses and garages when it gets cold I suppose.
I have nine tarantulas right now, with a tenth coming sometime like next week. He's a mature male, and we'll be breeding him to my female. That's another 200 plus the 5-10 we'll be getting after my rat's get their surgery. about 6 scorpions will be coming with that order, all the same species LOL
Hate and fire for wolf spiders! Hate and fire! Anything that can cover a 2 foot stretch of space faster than I can blink and react should not be allowed to live! o.o
*survived a vicious assault by one once.... well, not really, but I watched one stalk a bug in my backyard, and it pounced the thing before I even realised I couldn't see it anymore.*

[Late comment is late, but...] they actually can be "imported" as frozen (or slightly freezed) eggs, with wood for, say, house interior panels. When house gets warmed they continue their cycle and being born out... i mean in to the house.
P.S. Here in Tver state of R.F. i monitor some of them being frozen in their hideouts (between wall-logs) below -40 celsius. And yet they manage to live next spring, just the sun reaches that hole.

I found this picture earlier in the day and thought it was quite amusing. After finding a spider in my room tonight however and having essentially the same reaction as those dogs, I decided to find it again and favorite it. I just about hyperventilated and passed out from having to find the spider in my room after it hid under my bookcase (my bed's on the floor and I didn't want to wake up in the middle of the night with it crawling on me). It's gone now though so all's well that end's well... for me anyway. :P
I laughed so hard that I don't think I could write that many LOLs.
You get a + watch for that.

Ive seen this one a couple of time and I always have to snicker when I see it! I know a few people that mush and have had something like this happen to them... I also have a pair of sled dogs and when the lead dog stops quickly the wheel dogs runs into him.... Great one! Oh one my malamutes steps on spiders! He lost his pack mate to a brown recluse.

Blimey, this is a very popular picture and for good reason too! It reminds me of the movie Balto. I don't know if it was inspired from that? Anywho, the expressions are pure genius. And Puma the cat is adorable in the picture too. The watercolours are just beautiful. You're an incredible artist Tani.

I was very pleased to meet TanidaReal at Anthrocon 2012, where I got a a print of this one and she was kind enough to sign it for me! It got it framed afterward, and everything!
Thank you so much; You are truly genuine class and it was great to talk to you (I saw you on the last day in the dealer's room - tall guy with a beard) . Congrats on the recent wedding as well!
