This is a digital painting I did of John Rzeznik, frontman for my favorite band: The Goo Goo Dolls. He was my first celebrity crush, and I think he is an extremely good looking man. Been working on this FOREVER and finally finished it, having found it and remembered that I had started it.
This painting, in its entirety, was done completely by me. Though it is a very long process, I hand painted EVERYTHING that is seen above with no copying, pasting, overlaying or stealing from its original reference:

Care to tell us what Photoshop filters you used to "paint" this image? http://www.superiorpics.com/johnny_.....2_picture.html
Sure! I actually don't use filters. They usually mess me up and I really don't know too much about them. In all reality, though it takes me F-O-R-E-V-E-R, I overlay a grid and just paint each square to exact detail. I mostly use the blur tool, and I've created a few custom brushes for the hair. And no offense MocHi, but this IS a painting. I replicated the photo you are referring to. I did the same thing with the House painting I did as well. Now, try to have me just paint him with no reference to replicate? Oh Lord, it'd be a disaster. But that's what I'm good at: copying what I see.
