and basically it was a soul swap. when one died, one soul passed on while the other returned back into the original body after being released.
And the reason for the soul swap was because it was a experiment. He wanted to see if his special ability came from his body, or if it came from his soul.

yeah, I got 90% of it, but I was 11 so thanks for clearing up that last bit (your last sentence is the missing piece to the puzzle XD)

Did you notice how much Acheron's appearance changed through the volumes? He went from a goat-cat to a full on muzzled wolf thing XD
