Yeah the game isn't exactly obvious about the ups/downs of
1 hand+shield/quiver VS dual wield VS 2 hand
But agreed, the auction house is a much more reliable thing to use than crafting in the game, especially since like, for a Demon Hunter your projectile weapons come at retarded times
Can't build your first crossbow till lvl 4
Can't build your first Handcrossbow till lvl 16
and your first bow isnt until lvl 25 .. >:V

Psh, I Leroy Jenkins'd my first time through. No touching any auction house or personal sales, just using what I got. Then again, I was a barbarian... c.c

Honestly I didn't use it for my run through normal either on my Witch Doctor because any time I tried it it just wasn't working properly :|
As for bosses, I only died on two. I died a few times on the Butcher for some awful reason and on that very first miniboss on Act 4 a couple of times. The rest were cake. Working my way through Nightmare/alting now...when I get the time!
