Fallout?

yeah, its an older RPG game rendered out in the style of Blizzard's Diablo. I was very much wondering about this myself. Some of those assets look pretty nice and grimey. What game is this screenshot from exactly?

A post-apocalyptic action-rpg game published by Interplay in the late 90s. They made Fallout 1 and 2 at that time then started working on the 3rd but had to stop when they went bankrupt. Bethesda acquired the rights on the game and are currently working on it. Apparently it will uses a modified version of the Oblivion game engine. Being a fan of the Fallout serie, I just can't wait =P

So yeah, this map looks like it was taken from the Fallout game. What game is this from exactly?

I am very familiar with fallout, but the screencap posted here, thats exactly what I want to know! I guess I should've asked in an independent comment rather than a reply. But hey, the reply from you is pleasant anyway.

I am so sorry, I should have stated that in the desc. This is actually from a dream 'world' on a game called Furcadia. There are many dreams similar to this setting or completely opposite. So, Fallout is like Diablo? I have never played Diablo but this computer I am on is supporting the files.. seeing my boyfriend has bought the game chest. Furcadia eh? I should have guessed. I bet they stole those graphics from Fallout 2, I recognize the Highwayman car at the upper left corner =P

They might have done that.. but Furcadia probably didn't.. it was someone who distributed the patches -the cars and such you see- who did.

finally a good logically sound theory behind the impressive (old) assets presented here. When it was posted I was deathly suspicious myself but now, I'll just go with the 'rip-off' theory.
