Well now that the contest is over I can be honest about my opinion.
Prydwen is really crappy. It's amazing how much hype it got and I really just joined to try and get my hand on the tablet.
The protagonists are flawless, a physical deformity such as no legs does not count, and the whole thing felt like a Redwall fanfiction. The whole "everyone knows about your powers but you" trope is so overused it's hard to take anything seriously that uses it.
I also had a problem with the description for the antagonists. "Will accomplish his mission at an(y) cost" "will achieve his goals using any means necessary" Is this was makes the villains bad? God forbid someone to have ambition but I wouldn't mind it so much if they were anti-villains. The characters are so flat and nothing is really explained throughout the first book it really put me off.
The reason I drew this scene was because of a line in the story that actually made me laugh. Not because it was meant to be funny but of how stupid it sounded. "I do not want to cross that bridge. That's a Deathbridge." This line creates some questions. What is a Deathbridge? Why is this guy talking like he's in a children's book?
