I only recently remembered the time of my change and the live I led before it. Those memories were alarming at first, even terrifying. Imagine having images of your birth and your time in the womb come flooding back with perfect clarity. Then imagine that you start to remember what had happened [i]before[\i]. I was content with my life amongst the grasses and the gardens, but I fear that is gone now. I was human once, and more than human. I was known a child of the sea-spray.

Now that I remember, I am not sure where I am to go. My heart bears a listlessness that no elk should feel, yet I still find myself among the grass and pollen. I know what I was, I know what I am, yet there is still such a mystery between.
