more fleshing out Adeleh and the Caratopes,so colorwise none of this is really concrete
the crests above their noses are actually sensory organs as are their "horns" which are actually antennae ,and the pink lines from their noses to their eyes are pits similar to snakes. these three organs are used in conjunction to pick up on various signatures emitted by the different ores on their home planet. While Caratopes other senses are average, they have a knack for picking up othr signals. In some cases ,sujects have prooven sensitive egnough to pick up on active circutry, and will get overwhelmed by larger computers used in some off planet ships.

the crests are also uses as a form of body language,displaying either aggression,distress or arousal
