I carved this piece out of a solid brown alabaster stone. There are places that need some polishing and sanding down, but it was on display for my Senior Seminar Art exhibition which opened in April. My biology professor astutely pointed out, "that otter has breasts!" So yes, this otter is anthro (of course!) and I wanted it to look like an artifact just unearthed.
