Heee yush xD Of course I had two options: Sprint for the next block over which if I was fast it'd be there in about a minute n a half. Or rush around 3 blocks where it'd circle around in 10 xD

I think my favorite "Chasing the bus" scene in in Watermelon Man with Godfrey Cambridge.

First as a white man where every one is cheer him on to beat the bus, and then as a black man where it becomes, "What did he steal?"

missed the bus in australia
it meant i had a two hour walk back to where i was staying from the mall.

in summer
on the tropic of capricorn
without suntan lotion

i played the 'stop in every store along the way' game.

missed bus at friend's apartment (we took it to her place.) So I walked the hour or so back through streets during rush hour traffic in the muggy heat of spring in LBK. Lovely.

These are turning out super rad so far.
Also, I do not miss this feeling. Oh gosh. The joys of living in a tiny nowhere town. No public transportation, unless you call for a taxi and wait a bazillion years for them to come pick you up.

Nope. You could call them a day ahead and reserve your time slot, and they'd still make you an hour late for work.

Not that I've ever used them for that. Just coming home from the bar. Oh gosh, I learned to have a DD pretty darn quick.
