Paper maché is starting to drive me nuts! If I'm not careful and don't catch a symmetry mistake early enough it can turn out that I'll never be able to bring it up the scratch.

A while ago Nephis rough-sculpted a beak over one of my unfinished maché forms and I spent a while last night rubbing it smooth and all. I think this will suffice nicely for a prototype of a resin cartoon raptor beak. If it works out, we'll go all-out and make more realistically proportioned ones for popular species like corvids, hookbills, etc.
