So this is one of the first songs I'd written for my band after I had joined. I had a couple around this time that all kinda had this Western vibe to them, so we referred to them as our Spaghetti Western songs; I then went on to photoshop our promo picture with us wearing bandoleers, pistols, ponchos and cowboy hats. I shopped the drummer with Clint Eastwood's whole torso from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
We've played it a few times, but it hasn't made it into our set just yet; although I think it might be working it's way in now, as we've been revising our set a bit, wanting to get in some new/er material. The only thing I don't have worked out for it is a vocal part, which I've left up to our lead singer. Everything else just otherwise just needs to be re-learned, as we haven't played it for a while, although I did teach'm all the parts.
I like how it turned out; I really like the solo and the electric guitar, acoustic sounds fine, double-tracked it. The drums I cheated a bit, using MIDI patterns that came with Addictive Drums. Everything up til this point I had written out and programmed myself, but I used this as an opportunity to experiment with what was there and amend as I needed, to which I'm quite pleased.
To us, the song is known either as TBS, or more often, THRUBS.
