Another one for the band, which we never did anything with. I had this riff, which I got from messing about with my looping pedal. It has 99 tracks you can save things on and freely scroll through on the fly to line up the next section of your song, so I brought in what I had to the guys and we jammed on it for a bit. I finished up the arrangement and parts of it a few days later and sent them the file. We played it for a bit, but eventually moved on to different stuff we were working on.
I like the electric guitar riff and the tone of it. The acoustic, however, is my Les Paul DI'd, running into Guitar Rig using a patch I found online to make it sound like an acoustic, or at least supposed to. Doesn't sound the best. I was too lazy to mic up my acoustic and play it, yet spent the time to find and tweak a patch to make an acoustic sound with my electric. Logic.
These drums were programmed and weren't the MIDI patterns that come with Addictive Drums, as there wasn't the tom beat I was after, which was based off of what our drummer played during the jam. I also like the bass tone, although it could stand to have a bit less pick sound to it.
The part where it sounds like it's gonna go into a solo, I hadn't fully decided whether to have on in there or just have it as like a breakdown as it is now. It was a pain in the ass to program the drums at that part, as I didn't map out the time signature/tempo change and the downbeats for it were all over the place, having recorded the rest in I believe 6/8. Got it done in any case.
The name, Number One Future Song or N1FS, is an in-joke with us, where we were setting up a setlist of 10 songs and needed a couple more, so we had No. 1 Future Song as a placeholder, and we all resolved to each bring in a song that would be that, but only I ended up doing something for it and never bothered picking another name.
