Using 
DanzaArt's method of drawing a dragon head, I was able to sketch out this. It's not perfect (Jaw is still a little too square for my liking) but it suffices and gave me insight on how to use shapes to my advantage. Sorry for crappy phone pic. All I had at the moment. :(
