Well painted, but personally, I think real African Hunting Dogs are some of he ugliest mammals in the world.

They're a bit silly looking, but they're not that ugly.

Personally i think they are among some of the most beautiful dogs - its definately in the eye of the beholder, but IMO their colouring is just fantastic. Well done blotch!

I was just wondering if you would ever consider giving any tips/a tutorial on how your paint things like backgrounds and tips for working with the brand of paint that you do.
I believe you mentioned that you use Golden acrylics?

I do use Golden brand liquid acrylics. I admit, I don't have any plans in the near future to do any tutorial type stuff (a severe lack of time is the main factor,) but if you're interested in how I paint, I have some sped-up, previously recorded videos of it up on LiveStream:

Granted, it's mainly watercolor, but I have a couple recorded sessions of painting some all-acrylic things I just haven't gotten around to editing and posting yet. So, if it's specifically acrylic you're interested in, I guess you can check back in a month or so! :]

Groups of African Hunting Dogs always remind me of the "pack running" strategy my cross country couch would preach. Maybe theses animals are a likely source of inspiration for that strategy.

It's a good strategy during practices, but it seems like pack running during races would slow down the faster runners. Cross-country runner here. ;)

THat's what I always thought, though I think it's more too help with pacing.

Very nice, aside from being biased because I love painted dogs, I love how the face of the front one is the most detailed and how it gets more painterly towards the back, as if it's the focus on a camera.

Love the composition! I especially like how you having the rimilght and the light hitting the dog's front right paw. It brings interest to an other-wise dark area, leads the eye around the picture and keeps the energy moving very nicely. :)
