House, as simple as it gets.
And actually, I've been struggling with things like mastering and equalizing, and I feel that this song's sound quality is a bit lacking.
Could anyone please tell me what problems they hear with the sound quality?
And if you want to comment on the quality of the music, in general, please do, this song is a bit generic and I'm struggling to find artistic ways to branch out.
Thanks ^^

From what I can hear, the bass-sub region is too powerful and sucks the life out of the other elements. Consider subtractive EQ methods. I'm not sure what software you use, but this could help regardless.

I'd recommend this website for just about anything, but that's just me. :p
Generally, repetitive percussive elements shouldn't sound louder than any leads or unique synth experimentation you have going on. You could simply lower volume, or mess with stereo width to make it sound smaller.
On the music in general, the glitchy sounds are an earsore after awhile. Put those in the back of the mix or EQ the heck out of em. I'd like to hear more from the strings/pads which you start to build up on. This sounds like house/electro-ish. Trance is more like "ooh pretty pretty chord progression" whereas EHouse has the types of sounds I hear in this one. But blahblah whetever, its dance music.
don't feel bad about having trouble with these kind of things. It'll only get better through experience. Mastering is such a finnicky subject where opinions differ anyways.
best of luck

Sounds great! Though I'm curious, what was the reason behind naming it "Free Hugs"? Not that I mind the title, I'm just curious :P
