Yup I've got a new alien species. I know I come up with a lot of em. This time a cute lil scaly one. ^^ As always with my aliens you get a species codex entry and lil something on the individual in the pic.

The Notan are an amphibious reptilian species. Their homeworld Notala is a verdant fertile world with 60% of it's land mass comprising forest. Most of the planet has a tropical climate wit the poles being temperate zones and the only place on their world to see snow during the winder. Notans themselves live along their world's many coast and rivers. Their lungs are adapted to draw oxygen from air or water. They have superb night vision which helps them in low lighting conditions of the water. They also have a developed sense of hearing capable of hearing and producing sounds in the infrasonic range. Due to this the Notan typically have two languages. One spoken in typical ranges and the other purely in infarsound. Offworlders seeing two Notan communicating in this way have started rumors that Notan are telepathic when in reality they were merely using their secondary language. Notan society is open with free exchange of ideas. Innovations spread quickly among their species. Notan are quite social with an intense curiosity which drives them to become experts in whatever field they find of interest. Notan are also fiercely loyal to friends and family. In their prehistory this was most advantageous to them. At 3.5 feet tall typically a single Notan is far from imposing. But a group of them them staunchly defending one of their own would give any predatory animal pause. Notan have a strong sweet tooth with a taste for fruits. They also have a fondness for various native invertebrates.

Jink smiled as he walked on down the river bank. The sun was shining warmly today and he was enjoying himself. He had 2 weeks vacation and he aimed to use them. It was nice to have open sky and tries above head. The sound of flowing water. The birds and insect life singing. The later providing an occasional snack. A far cry from crawling around maintenance tubes fixing this or that on GateWay station. Jink liked his job but sometimes it was nice to get away. Jink looked to the water considering a swim but since he'd left his pack at camp and wasn't excited about hiking back in a river soaked diaper he decided against it for now. A weakness since childhood having to wear these was something Jink had grown used to and even enjoyed now. Instead he turned his head towards the forest seeing an old path and decided to explore that for a bit before returning to camp. Maybe he'd even find some Jexa Berries along the path.
