One of the hardest things I have to tell students is "No Korea-talking!" It makes me feel really terrible, the classic "white opporessor" thing, quashing a country's identity and replacing it with our vision of what's "right", but it was explained to me that their parents pay a pretty penny to ensure total immersion to get them fluent. I don't like it any more, but it really does make sense.
