They are quite understated aren't they? I think only this song even entered the charts over here (UK) at some point. There may have another but I don't remember which song it was.
Thanks :3 I did a funny little turn on the higher notes, that's probably what you are referring to. I don't know what the technical term is for that.

Wonderful tune, and yet another wonderful adaptation - though I'll have to sigh some of the really high notes, while the song just is that way and you did a admirably good job of getting that right - is a bit out of my personal comfort zone... nothing to stop you from your completing your work ofc.
Yeah it's difficult, because I sing an octave up from the original singer :< There isn't much I can do to avoid it... it is a bit of a contrast from low to high points which bugs me too. Still... it was nice to give it a go. Maybe I can adapt it to suit the way I sing it by changing the backing to just piano and in a slightly different key... but the key would still be high :< Damn being a soprano!
No, and you shouldn't do anything to avoid it either, unless you'd really start fumbling around with the key a lot, and frankly IMO that doesn't make any sense at all. Why fix anything that isn't broke? And let's be honest, it just isn't - as I mentioned before the perception of that high note is just a personal impression of mine and mustn't keep you from doing things the way you like.
