Here is the uncolored picture of my tattoo from
There is all kinds of significance going on here.
The Lincoln symbol represents Anthrocar. For thos of you that remember this funny little occurance at Anthrocon 2003, There was a Black 1987 Lincoln Town Car parked by the dealers den that was constantly circled by artist from the fandom who were making their mark by signing or drawing on it in permanent paint marker. This was the very first time I met my mate 2, the Ranting Gryphon.
The kangaroo is Rainhopper Roo. A character I created when I met Pouchhopper <RIP> someone who completely changed my direction in life as well as many many others in the fandom. He was one of the handful of furs who emptied their life savings to start the very first furry convention. He also was one of the first fursuit makers with humble beginnings starting in 1979. He was also the first fursuit maker to incorperate digits into fursuits rather than the typical mascot style "mitten" paws and feet.
The Rocker look represents the wild times and adventures I had in my early years. reckless and dangerous.. the rockstar life is often seen as something of envy... underneath its shiny exterior it is a life of insanity and rampant indulgence
A tattoo is best appreciated when it represents something. Not to say all other types are dumb... hell one day I will get a rabbit silhouette that is nothing more than a picture i find in a google image search... but when I put something on my body for life, I want to know that 40 years from now, I will see it and I will be reminded of all the good times I had when i was young... Both from my own adventures and from the people who have come into my life.
I am privileged to have this designed by someone who also has made an impact in my life that is ever lasting. Agent Elrond, Thank you ... simple words with which to express complex gratitude for the joy you've brought not only myself... but the fandom as a whole with your art, your humor, your comics and your wit.
Today, I am a happy bunny.
