I remember Captain Caveman, but there was also a series where, for some reason, Fred and Barney became cops and were paired with this weird white shape-shifting thing that talked in high pitched baby talk. I could have sworn they referred to it as the schmoo? It was part of that Flinstones reboot where suddenly Pebbles was a totally sexy teenager and Bambam was a bumbling dork.
