I had the original Transformer, but I got tired of repairing it because the cords inside kept coming lose. Finally the screen died all together. I still have to RMA it, so yeah.

One of many unfortunate lemons. I also had the dreaded "one speaker louder than the other" syndrome. I managed to "fix" that by rooting and installing a patch, even though it was a hardware problem.

My prime kept on freezing under the standard ICS ROM. Pity asus can't get their act together. Unlocked device and went straight for Cyanogenmod nightly builds and issue hasn't resurfaced since. I trust third party + enthusiast developers more than I trust the incompetency of developers behind stock rom.

I really liked Gnufabio's Revolver ROM. It had the amazing Face Unlock before other ROMs did. Besides, I don't own a phone/android device with an original ROM on it. xP

Apparentlyfor the prime Androwook is the latet ROM recieving all the hype.
It is amazingly fast coupled with motleys kernel overclocked at 1.7ghz and the brnd new "sio" kernel control governor.

sd news is Androwook has beendiscontinued bc bad users have been pestering the developer to reease way too many times.

Yeah, I've seen that happen a few times. Person: "Ohh, can you add this, or that?"
Developer: "No, it is not possible"
Person: "Can you pleeeaaassee add this or that?"
Developer: "I've told you it isn't possible."
Person: "Fuck you! I hate you and wont use your shitty ROM."

It's a shame really. Oh, and I got my tablet back from Asus, all fixed up and everything. Unfortunately they unrooted it and the USB doesn't work anymore, it only charges the tablet, so I can't root it back until I get a new one.

I've never heard of that, so I would guess no.

rooting is simply giving users ability to run OS under SuperUser
Unlocking is rmoving the security bootloader restriction.
If you visit asus under their website, they have an unlock tool for certain models.
Once you unlock. You can flash any developer rom onto the transformer . provided its made for that tablet in mind

Oh, the original transformer is already unlocked. Unless they locked it in an update, I shouldn't have a problem with that.
