This was the last thing I ever did in my MIDI class as a first taste of what it feels like to work in a live studio. Basically I was given the option to enter any song I had written and transform it, along with three other performers, into a piece with actual instruments. This didn't turn out as well as it should have, but I'm still pretty damn pleased with my first attempt to create live recordings using a song based off of concept sketches for a modern-day fantasy manga named "Syne" I had planned to try drawing before all my art was destroyed.
The live sounds in this can be heard as: a) Flute; b) $5.00 "Authentic" Wood Flute; c) Various shakers; d) Distortion Guitar; and, E) Me very softly reciting death haikus in Japanese before I even knew how to speak it (Hence the heavy use of delay/reverb). All else is synth, even the piano. Still, I think it's a very beautiful piece in the spirit of Lyger Oriente, but with MUCH better quality. Course, there's a LOT of things I wish I could go back and fix in this, but...well, too late now. Enjoy. :}
**No, no gold star. I'm not going to record this one again. x..x**

:) :) :) :) Thank you, Guan. :) :) :) :)
Just flopped out here and picked this one at random after our forum got nuked (don't ask, you'll find out/have found out).
EXCELLENT track, regardless of whether I have any inherent bias owing to being an old-style progressive/whateverwordsIcan'tthinkofat4.45am fan...
Very much appreciated and keep up the good work. I'll be back for more (after playing this a few more times before sleeping).
Can I +fav it again, please?

Ack! Sorry to hear about that. Sure hope that turns that okay. Less for me, but more for you, though I should really visit that area more often. o..o
By the by, thanks for the nice comments! *ruffles your headfur with a warm snug and friendly nibble* It's good to see I was able to make your day...night...a little better. Hopefully I'll manage to crank more of my spiritual side out here before the summer ends; I really would like to put more live productions online sometime. :}

oh, /much/ better: needed that music badly; thanks again, Guan!
Mmm... much more of /you/ in there, I'm sure, than can be found of other people in much of the lighter ambient/newage material I've heard (in passing) in recent years... many tend to take the easy throw-in-a-few-patterns-leave-it-to-the-computer route and expect the listener to chill without questioning.
Maybe that suits some people, perhaps.
Maybe I'm just making random kittynoises. It is after 7am, after all!
Oh... And thanks for the personal grooming, too! *mrrr* Appreciated. ^^
*warm snowpard tailhugs to the 'guana in return*

yes, I'm perhaps glad that the forum is only really heavily used by 100-200 people. Losing one month's posts for everyone still hurts badly, though, from a community p.o.v.

Wow, for sleeping, I mainly use Aqueous Transmission from Incubus, but this one is gonna join it once I download this. Its very soothing and relaxing but at the same time, in its own moment, it could pump me up! :P wierd huh? Well Aqueous Transmission is on a Pump Mix I made so there you go. This type of oriental tradicional music ROCKS! and awesome work with the breaks and changes! +fav for sure! :)
Another song I can say more about now that I've been listening to a while. I admit I skip over this one now and then as it comes across to the play list. It really depends on the mood I am in compared to the mood I want to be in as to whether or not I let this one play. It is a unique one, the song. Have to be looking for a hack of a ride to listen to this one. With the use of head phones its one hell of a trip. Starting out with such a great peaceful scene before me before jumping onto something that jerks me through the ups and downs of it all so fast that I get a glimpse of heaven just before getting yanked back down toward hell. Just before the plunge I'm taken by the neck but a winged creature and carried just far enough to be dropped carelessly onto a safe place of grass. Left gasping for air and glad to be alive.
That's an interesting way of viewing this scene. o..o; My thoughts are always towards two equally-matched fighters meeting in a field, one overcoming near defeat and SHINING back to slay his opponent and move on. It's obviously much more complicated than that, but I can't recall the story off-hand. I like your account better somehow. ^..^;
