Fun comment: when I was a little kid, I saw a friend playing either FFVII on PC, and I asked who the main character was. He pointed at the screen and said "That's Cloud" AS HE SUMMONED IFRIT.
Ten years went by.
Friend: "Hey, you ever played Final Fantasy?"
Me: "Yeah, Crystal Chronicles at a friend's house."
Friend: "Who's your favorite character?"
Me: "Uh, Wolf hairstyle Selkie?"
Friend: "I like Cloud."
Me: "That weird thing that looks like Beast from Beauty & The Beast but who's on fire and throws the sun at people?"
Friend: "...what?"
It took my friend 40 minutes to convince me that Cloud was a yellow haired guy in a purple military suit with a too-big-to-use sword and not Mr. I-throw-the-sun-as-an-attack guy.
....so yeah. I used to think Ifrit was Cloud Strife. XD
