Another part of my "Saurriors" concept. The archons are the rulers of the dinosaur species (collectively known as Saurons).
Each sauron species has its own archon, which is an emperor of sorts, although citizens have a little bit of leeway -- hard to control everything when your species is spread out through several star systems.
Some species don't have an archon -- the raptors, for example, who are rather few in numbers and too fiercely independent to even think of having someone try to rule them. Plus, the other species looked down upon them, not willing to have some "savages" in the alliance. It doesn't help that it was the raptors who accidentally caused the war with the mammals in the first place.
In this pic, the one on the right is female; the other two males -- in this concept, there are no mammal-type bits on my scalies.

The raptors are more concerned about survival than anything else, after their species was almost wiped out at the beginning of the war. Plus, they are still set in their ways of the "packs" -- they don't want a single "alpha male" telling every pack what they should be doing.
Kaa one another suggestion, in one against point to the Saurriors you could for example create the "Criptomorphos" that would be "Anthros-Animals Pré-Historicals" of diverse periodes between the Ice Age the Pleistocene and Miocene as Anthro-Smillodons Sabretooth Tigers , Anthro-Bears of the Caves, Anthro-Wolfs Pré-Historicals, Anthro-Mammuths Lanudes and Mastodons, Anthro-Megatherions Preguiças-Giants, Anthro-Mooses Giants , Anthro-Basilossauros, Anthro-Eagles Pré-Historicals Giants etc that would possess a warlike super-civilization in the same platform of the one of the Saurriors but that it would remember the "Centauri Empire" of Babylon 5... That such?
