This is the front gate to the main shrine of Fushimi Inari in Kyoto. It greets you practically as soon as you step off the train at the Inari station. Although the paths with the torii and the fox shrines were really the highlight, the entire place is amazingly photogenic.
On the far right is one of those fox statues. You can't really make it out in this photo, but in the green-fenced areas to the sides of the gate are two guardian deities. Toward the bottom in the background, you can vaguely make out one of the shrines.
The picture didn't come out quite the way I'd hoped, but I was trying to capture way too much in one shot. I guess I'm lucky I got as much as I did.
