X-112 Intrepid-Class Transport

The Intrepid was one of the earliest re-useable inter-planetary transports, used to ferry goods and colonists to the far corners of the solar systems. Intrepid-class ships helped supply the young Sol colonies with the supplies and immigrants that helped build them into the worlds we see today, and later helped the other pre-warp star-systems establish inter-planetary colonies of their own. As warp drives and Gates were slowly established among the different worlds, massive numbers of Intrepids were converted to hold warp drives, and even today still ferry goods across every corner of Terran space.

While hosting a respectable hanger bay, the lack of weapons or a shield emitter make it rather vulnerable in a fight. Despite their age, the Intrepid still see frequent use from the poorer parts of the Galaxy, to some of the more secure core systems (cargo space is cargo space, after all).
