I have begun a small project in which I will attempt to express my love and appreciation to a select handful of people who have been close to me and had an impact on my life. I value these people in a way that's difficult to show, particularly for me, given my habit of shelling up and being a social recluse even toward the people I love most.

I've had fallouts with some of these people, drifted in general from others, and there are even those that I have miraculously stayed in steady contact with. I'm the kind of person who plugs into something and finds little to no time for anything or anyone else while I'm in that place, and maintaining friendships can be hard for me because I feel as though these people deserve more than the few minutes a day or week I can offer them outside of my private little world... so oftentimes, I just let them fade for what I feel is best for them.

What a terrible friend I make.

This project is my way of doing something pleasant for those people, and letting them know that they matter more than I seem to be able to show. It's not going to be a very long project, but it's important to me that it's done.

If you are pictured here, you're one of those people, and at some point in time, I let you in to a place in my life that few tread. The feeling may or may not be mutual, but despite any behavior that says otherwise, you're still there in that place, and you hold a little piece of me wherever you go. <3

a note about lyrics: i produce each of these inside of a little zone created by whichever song i've selected for the subject. you probably shouldn't assume that you can grasp the meaning behind the choices in song for each person, as i have a terrible habit of warping any given message in a song to my own interpretation. they're mostly selected by overall sound and feel, and i have my own personal reasons for the associations.
