Here's a quick collage of some WIP images of the eurasian eagle owl costume head we've been working on!

As you guys can see, he's a bit different-looking than Bubo, the owl we made last year. For one, Bubo was made to look "angry," as normal great horned owls do. With this owl, I had to soften up the expression and make him look more friendly/happy/cute. I also wanted to try and distinguish him from Bubo a bit more sculpt-wise AND use some new techniques I learned since last year. Overall, I'm satisfied, but this head took me much longer than expected to sculpt and try and get right. Definitely one of the most challenging and not something I could ever recreate!

I still need to do a bit of trimming of the foam on the face, as well as bulk up the feather tuft sculpting and give them a less flat shape. They also may need to be brought forward a bit more, but I'll see what the commissioner thinks. c:
