Well, what do you think is going to happen if you give a baby squirrel a present? I'm envisioning camera flashes going off and everybody going "Awww, that's so adorable," before someone finally goes, "Umm maybe we should stop her chewing on it before the ink or something makes her sick?" Anyway, happy birthday, Gem, and I know you're clever enough to eventually figure out that you can tear off the paper and chew on what's inside! Yumm! :)

I tried to use background elements to indicate why Gem's proportions were otherwise weird looking here -- we're seeing her from above. I'm particularly happy with how Grub turned out, and I want a party hat like that one. I'm sure if I came to the party, they'd have had them for everyone.

I've been working on this for a while now, actually. I began it the week before we went on vacation, and now we're back and I finished it up.
