There's a reason he kinda looks like Tech. Tech used to have long hair tied in a ponytail. His favorite color used to be Green and he only wore bare minimum, a green shirt and dirty old pants. No vest, no shoes.

Diego, Max, and Tech were all orphans. Tech was 7, Diego was 8, Max was 10 and while Max was trying his hardest trying to find a way to raise his brother and Diego Tech stuck to Diego like glue, to the point he developed feelings he didn't understand, he started letting Diego win when they wrestled just to have Diego on him, he was more interested in hanging out with Diego than Max usually getting paranoid when they were separated considering Diego was a thief and was always in trouble, and he got kinda mad when he talked nicely to other people. Tech fell for him hard without really understanding what love was, something Tino refused to allow.

At the age of 12 Tech was to young to understand the bond between humans and spirits so Tino, his monkey was way stronger, being able to Posses Tech if he needed to. He did and spoke to Diego, letting it be known that it was Tino talking and not Tech. Tino told Diego to leave by using his boredom with life against him. Diego was really smart, their was no challenge in school for him. Even when Max was able to fix up a house and bring some money home Diego chose to stay a thief just for the thrill. He didn't want to be held down, and even though he barely started feeling the same way Tech did about him Tino made Diego feel like liking Tech would end his life, Tino thinking it was for the best to keep Rai's seal tightly secured. What Tino didn't expect was that night as Diego packed his bag and tried leaving Tech's spirit had a violent reaction as the Prong of love, one of the 5 parts of Rai's seal, was already partially attached to Diego. Not enough for it to break by Diego leaving, but enough to fuel his energy. He unknowingly locked Tino away and chased after Diego.

Diego tried telling Tech to leave but he refused, and when Diego tried leaving anyway Tech attacked, his lightning that used to be controlled and able to go long range now as uncontrollable and unpredictable as it's master. Being the one that taught Tech most of his elemental moves Diego was reluctant, but he fought back and was able to beat him to the point Tech couldn't move, not noticing he accidentally cut him. As soon as Tech's eyes landed on his blood he heard a voice in his head calling for more. He got a violent urge to slice Diego in half. Even as his body healed and crawled from the ground to Diego's surprise he heard the incredible loud voice, his voice, telling Diego if he won't stay in the city than his blood will. Tech was confused as he basically watched his body attack Diego with abilities he didn't have, especially when his arm started sparking red with electricity, His lightning is blue, why does he see red? When he noticed he was trying to kill Diego he forced himself threw sheer force to stop, not noticing his eyes were changing as he felt a ripping inside of his heart. Don't go was all Tech could say before his lightning completely vanished and he passed out. Diego ran, really scared of what he just saw and understanding what Tino's warning meant, Max found Tech later that night.

The next morning Tech was happy as always. He did his morning routine smiling the entire time and gave Max a dumb look when he asked if he was ok. The first thing he did that morning was cut his hair short and spiked it up. Then he reached in the hamper and grabbed a red vest,the one Diego forgot to pack. When Max asked what he was doing Tech just replyed, "I don't like my hair long anymore. I felt like cutting it today. Don't know why." He didn't mention Diego, didn't even think of him. He no longer knew he existed. Max walked back to his room worried about Tech only to find a note on his dresser with familiar handwriting, Tino's, "Not a Word"
