It is true though, I knew absolutely nothing about the character after the series and game, and only really learned about him after some time of fanfiction and wikia reading... which is a bit lameish for a character that was supposed to be well known in the original series.

Even thought hey did some background story with the comics, I think they assumed that fans would just know him from G1 or something like that.

well the aligned continuity isn't G1 so ever character is a completely new character. wheeljack is a good example of that.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure where I stand with that... I definitely didn't like the movies plot-wise, but I agree with the designs.

What DOES push all my buttons in aligned is teh background story. I really love what they did with the lore.

the aligned story is fine even though there are a few things in it that I don't like, such as unicron being earth. and in regard to the live-action series i don't care much for the designs of the transformers but you get use to it, what I really don't like is how the characters are portrayed. optimus would never murder anyone in cold blood like he did to megatron and zeta prime.

it was suppose to be a cloak. I find it funny that frank welker was in the live-action movies but he didn't voice megatron.

Yes, it's a bit odd, but I did like the voice they chose for Megatron. It worked well with the character.
