In one of my prior streams, in the midst of colouring this image above, one of the viewers in the chat mentioned that the character I had drew as a feline was wrong. In fact, it was supposed to be a fox!
This showed that proper research should be applied even for something that started off as a sketch. Because I drew this on paper, I wanted to avoid correcting it on the real page (too thin and stains everywhere). So I used SAI and took advantage of the layer options to a paper texture.
Thankfully it was an easy enough fix to change the character into a fox with the muzzle, ears, hands and tail. Plus I do correct my traditional inks so when someone receives the inks, it is perfect to specifications. Also the left hand seemed small so I wanted to photoshop the true final anyway.
Hope you folks like this!
