though we can both agree on burma being totally repressive, I debate the freedom metric (that sounds like the press-based metric) since, well, press freedom is totally not the best or only metric to use (and those guys didn't count internet). For example, the UK has 1% of the people on this planet and 20% of the CCTV cameras. That's 4.2 million of 'em, or 1 for every 14 people!! :0

I don't really see the problem with CCTV cameras, they're mostly in built up areas like town and city centres, they're not put in residential areas (unless the residents request it). Also, its kinda cool when they point at you, cus then it's BenTV time 8)

what about the cameras with the microphones and the megaphones in it? You never know if someone's there when you need to take a leak after a night at the pub and all the stores are closed. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU PEE
