Stadium went by the Pokédex size information for everything..so with Gastly measuring at 4'03" it (as well as Haunter) were quite bigger than they had been seen in the show. It was surprising to see the first time, I think all the character sizes remained throughout the rest of the N64-NGC-Wii games.
