The most feared creature in the Star Canopy Forest, Nightmare was once a benevolent guardian blessed by the goddess Starine until he fell under the sway of the Corruption. Nightmare has the power to paralyze his victims with his terrible screech, and can even conjure dreams so haunting they stop the heart. Whatever you do, don't fall asleep. Nightmare is waiting.

Nightmare is a monster I created for a web comic work in progress called "Son of Starine." I got the idea for Nightmare using the Nightmare from Metroid Fusion, the Slender Man, and Barbas from the TV show Charmed. I sketched the original picture in ink and used Photoshop to add the effects. Sorry if it looks kind of crappy, I'm very new to photoshop.
