Donkey Kong - Respect Your Elders
Dated 30/05/2012
It's not easy being young like Diddy Kong. Sometimes you can feel pressured by your elder, bigger relatives.
And so falls another panel of 'The Great Unfinished Collection'...
Picture three of my 'June 2012' batch happens to be teaser 12 of the aforementioned submission in my scraps, though not without a significant amount of reworking. A frustrating cockup with my layers in the original version shown was the reason for the piece being unfinished as such - and for well over a year, no less.
Despite the absence of any prior material in my gallery, I am very fond of ape feet, so Donkey Kong very much falls within my paw fetish radar. My single biggest attraction to ape feet is their gripping capacity, especially if they are gripping onto their other foot - with something, or someone, between them...
As with the previous batch picture of Mike Wazowski, Donkey Kong was another character I had never drawn before. Thankfully his simplistic 'computer game' design made him reasonably easy to pick up, as was Diddy Kong as his little victim. Again, I wanted to stay faithful to the original style, so I'm pretty pleased with the end product.
However, there was one aspect of my interpretation which did require some artistic license based on the original design - namely, DK's feet. I didn't want to give him realistic gorilla feet, but I also didn't want them to look purely like a second pair of hands, so I tried to create something inbetween - with a nice dollop of foot musk thrown in.
Aside from the initial ballsup with the layers, the most frustrating part of producing this picture was not drawing or colouring the characters, or even doing yet another jungle background. It was actually the construction of the images onto one page without making the details too small or cropping away half of each panel - a problem which #43 on my "Sixty Things That Piss Me Off" journal will demonstrate is all too common in my experience...
So, after 18 months, there you have it - apologies to those of you who saw DK in my scraps and were patiently waiting for this piece! Still, at least I got there in the end, right?

Please. let me take the time recuperate my jaw, and re-adjust it to explain myself clearly for this awesome drawing...
This... THIS!! This is amazing! Outstanding! Perfect! Marvelous! Outrageous! Help me! I am having trouble coming up with words! Exciting! Awe-inspiring!!! The details, color and shading is impeccable!
I have to hand it to ya RRRex, you do take time making these pieces, but in the end I cannot *repeat* I CANNOT, look past your amazing skills and cannot say how much I adore it with my mere praising skils...!
Donkey Kong looks massive, and he boasts his size proudly in this one, and I really feel sorry for Diddy, but hey, some young whippersnappers need to know their place...!
Amazing work here RRRex! Amazing!

I have been greatly anticipating this pic, as I, too, am a huge fan of ape/monkey feet! ^^ What I wasn't expecting was the inclusion of my favorite game monkey, Diddy, and his, admittedly, exciting interaction with the big gorilla. You, sir, are awesome for drawing this! And yes, I too like the gripping ability of ape feet, and the concept of gripping micros in them. ;3
Donkey Kong Country has always been one of my favorite SNES games because of the free-roaming element after beating it. The 2nd and 3rd games don't come close to the impact the 1st game had on me.
Now I play as DK frequently on Super Smash Brothers Brawl. He's better as a playable character than some stubborn antagonist.

You know, if Wario can have a lethal gas attack in Super Smash Brothers, as well as a half-vore, chew on the enemy bit, then why can't Donkey Kong use the obviously less than sanitary soles of his feet as a weapon? I mean, come on! Look at all those fresh, handsome faces just BEGGING to get a nice 25% added to their damage counter! Pit, Link, Roy and Snake--there are just SO MANY young men that need to be shown just where they belong! Welcome to the Jungle indeed!
I just rediscovered your gallery here and probably skipped over this one before.
But now I'm older and wiser
WHAT FUN! YES!
How I wish his feet did more during the game.
Perhaps the proper "power up" lets his feet suck up, ummmm, fun stuff!
I have right here a Diddy Kong figurine I bought at Toys-R-Them
because his feet are so playful!
Even Chewbacca's toys are getting more detailed feet with toes and fun soles.
PawSluts are a major market force?
