Oh no, there is actually a good way to do it.
Just use the wand in PS, select in the lineart layer outside from the character (must never select the character), then inverse the selection and you can easily paint it in a layer below.
You did the lineart so well that the process is easy to do. :)

Mushy's just overprotective when it comes to my art, he's seen a lot of nasty things that's been said on my work on multiple ocassions and he just can't tolerate that anymore. He saw Rotten's comment as a complaint, I kinda did at first glance too but I didn't say anything about it and moved on. Apparently, according to her, it was meant as a joke, thing is it's badly worded and some people can take it differently.
It's sorta came off as if people aren't ever satisfied with anything, and you give them your hand then take your entire arm.
He's also blunt, we have a few people who would reply to our own comments instead of making their own, thankfully they stopped doing that. Once or twice it's fine, but after repetitive ocassions it gets super annoying. It's hard to tell them to cut it out without sounding a little bit harsh, tis internet afterall, you can't read someone's tru emotions through black and white text. Specially since there's no smiley attached.

Yeah believe me I understand he can be overprotective after all those problems you got. I'm sure I would be easily angry too. But a big part of the people who let you a comment aren't that mean...You and him don't have to be paranoid tho' =)
Just let it go and don't pay attention to the comment you don't like (you, and especially Mushy, I'm sure you know how to defend yourself, you're a big girl right ? ;) )

I looked at the PSD, I realise that one of the things which makes you a fantastic artist is not worrying about making every single line flawless before you are pleased with the picture - it means you can work quickly and get tonnes of practice in. For me, I spent probably more time on the lineart than anything else! and therefore one piece can take me 10 hours! :>
I think maybe the wolf could have a bit more fur around the head and neck to look more wolf life but I see it's not easy to do that and get the same style, other than that it is perfect!

I didn't want to add to much detail cuz then he'd look like a fox, but apparently he looks like a GSD... altho GSD's have large pointy ears in comparison to this mutt. X.x and it takes practice... I've been drawing with the tablet since 2006, well near end of that year. I used to draw extremely messy line art back then.
