Hello from Vienna!
A little tribute to the incomparable
Vader-San, whose passion for detail and knack for drawing cute gals (like this one!) are unrivaled :D This guy deserves all the watches.
30 minutes in MS Paint, because I'm not quite as fast as he is :P

Hah, too true XD The foreground took all of 3 days, and it was done... two or three weeks ago? Suffice to say the BG was a project for sure, but it made for great figure and architecture practice! Next best thing to visiting Vienna in person ^^
Glad you enjoyed it! :D

I think what I love most about your artwork is that you do interesting angles! It's never just front on, dull, it's always an interesting and playful point of view. Also, I think I'm going to need to kidnap you for my basement to draw arts for me sometime soon. Or, y'know, commission you when you're open, it's one of those 'in the moment' things :3
It's great to hear the perspectives pay off! Truth be told I probably ought to do more head-on portraits to get a better understanding of anatomy, but it's just lots more fun to draw things at an angle :3
Um, well as long as I get fed and the other artists you've imprisoned down there are genial folks I guess being kidnapped is okay? Hold on, just let me get my stuff together... *flees*

Oh good! Thanks ^_^ After I'd committed to drawing the background in detail I started to worry it would be too distracting, but it was a little late to go back. This was all I could come up with to redistribute the weight of the composition and break up all that rigid architecture. Plus it felt like the eye naturally is drawn to the top left corner, which in the straightened version is home only to a nondescript tree.
That said, a lot of folks also seem to prefer the original, and personally I'm still torn - hence why both got uploaded! But it's great to hear support that this angle works :D
