Solar Eclipse May 20th 2012 Didn't get to see the ring due to clouds but im happy to have been able to see what i did.

Seems you were in the US when this happened, so you wouldn't have been able to see the ring even if the clouds hadn't come in. I'm on the west coast (best place in the continental US to have a chance to see it), and we never got a full ring. Japan got a full ring, and probably Hawaii, but not CONUS.
