Its actually a very artsy peice: Finish the mouth, Clean up the construction lines, color the fireball red (or electric blue if its an aura) and then leave it: Its almost like one of those sketches where it looks absolutely fantastic before one straightens out the lines, and then for whatever reason it looks Worse after it is 'finished' than when it is left in the original sketch-like condition.
