A few years back, I was at an art show in Santa Cruz for a weekend and not a lot was happening so I started sketching. I was exploring different designs for dragons; in particular I wanted something that looked old and ancient that would evoke images of twisted old trees and rocks. This was the result. I also thought the crocodile-like head was a nice touch.
