I just found out about these little critters last week when I saw a picture someone uploaded on this site. They are these little hopping desert rats with LOOONG legs and tail and short little T-rex arms :3
So anyway I put a hat on mine because I tend to do that by default for some reason.

Looking back, I made the brim way too wide for it to be a real bowler\derby. Whoops!
Agree with you about top hats, nothing says sophistication like top hats and long coattails! I may have to draw that one sometime :):):)
