Now for a cheeky chili chocolate delight from the kitchens of
emeraldvioxx
Here is something I did a couple days back. I usually make these for my friends for their birthday but I decided that I should make some for myself and my family...FOR ONCE.
I'll be showing you two different Brownie recipes. One is from scratch and the other is for the lazy bakers, from a mix. :3
From Scratch:
Follow the instructions on the back of a Hershey's Cocoa package to make the brownies themselves.
Then you chop up and add to the mixture:
2 whole Hershey's Chocolate Bars
2 Chili Chocolate Bars from Mosh Rosher* [See Below]
2 cups of your favorite nut
Chop those ingredients up semi fine and mix into the brownie mixture. Bake according to Brownie directions.
* The Chili Chocolate doesn't have to be Mosh Rosher since most people can not get it out of the country of Germany. So I went ahead and found out that Lindt, another extremely good chocolattier, makes Chili Chocolate. [ http://www.lindtexcellence.com ]
From a Mix:
Follow the direction of the brownie mix that is more like a cake base, though please save a bit of the dry powder to coat the additives.
The Additives are the same as the previous recipe, except instead of just throwing them into the mix, you mix it in a separate bowl with some of the dry brownie mix. Mix until all is coated with the powder.
The ICING:
What you'll need:
4 oz Cream Cheese
4 oz Mascarpone Cheese
3 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons Milk* [See Below]
Mix the Cream Cheese and Mascarpone Cheese together until smooth/ incorporated. Slowly add the powdered sugar. Mix until all the sugar is mixed, than add the milk. The mixture may look a bit runny but once you drip the tops of the cupcakes into them, after they have cooled down a lot, It'll harden in the fridge.
*Note to You: The Milk amount isn't really exact. You might find the amount too much or too little. This measurement is up to you to decide.
Garnish with whatever you want on top. :3
Enjoy and have fun! :D
