Got a crazy craving for cookies well here's some to salivate for from the kitchens of
charidian
These cookies were made with trial and error until i got something similar tasting to the cookies at Subway. These cookies take a lot of patience to bake but they are worth the patience because they are very rich and sweet.
2 1/2 cup flour
1 cup butter melted and set aside until room temp
*almost 1 cup dark brown sugar (regular brown sugar is fine)
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs-room temp
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tablespoon vanilla
4 ounces(113 g) Macadamia nuts- (one small bag or a little more than half a big bag)
6 ounces (170 g) (about 1/2 to 2/3 of a bag) of Ghirardelli classic white baking chips (regular white chocolate chips will work but these ones are GOOD)
Mix all ingredients together and preheat oven to 325. scoop cookies into small balls (DO NOT PRESS DOWN) and space evenly across cookie sheet with wax paper. (try not to use oil if you can) Bake for 8-12 minutes. Make sure you watch these cookies because there is a lot of butter and stuff in them. Make sure they have brown on them before you attempt to pull them out. Don't pull these out too early or they will just sink and look sad and greasy. They will start to fluff a bit in the oven when done.
After you pull them out of the oven leave them on the pan for like 10 minutes so they can harden and cool. If you pull them off too soon they will break and be mush. Once pulled off the pan let cool for another 20 minutes or so. I love hot cookies so this is hard for me, but trust me these need it. These cookies are meant to be soft and sweet even after cooling off. Reheat in microwave if you like warm cookies.
Haha sorry these cookies are REALLY easy to under bake or over bake but so are the ones at Subway. Baking these takes some practice but it is worth it! yum
