This was inspired by this nice hematite hexagonal stone I had a few years back.

Hematite is one of my favorite stones. I'd incorporated it into a story I wrote (never got past the first scene) in which blood from a cut activated the stone. The stone then grew these legs, scrambled to the back of my hand and burrowed in.

Basic transformation story sort of thing.

Still, made for a neat picture.
